PATTERN INSPIRATION

by LUKE AARON

The Fall/Winter 2014 Collection of bridal and evening gowns blends sleek sophistication with an ethereal, bohemian mood.  The patterns and embroidery in the collection are soft and feminine but are less delicate than traditional floral motifs.  The look is a modern take on romantic style; with bold pattern replacing the typical fragile laces.  As in previous collections, elements from the natural world are a point of reference, with embroidery taking the form of leafy vines and lace patterned after peacock feathers.  The inspiration behind these fashion-forward patterns came from various decorative styles ranging from Moroccan to Art Nouveau.
